چکیده

The proliferation of technologically advanced and mobile devices poses risks to public safety security. These threats can be mitigated by systems equipped perform timely identification tracking their operators. In pursuit these capabilities, we propose an automated sensing platform designed specifically for multiple, radio frequency (RF) targets. There are a number challenges involved with multiple moving RF sources. We formulate the task as iterative state estimation path planning process, whereby sensor first estimates positions targets through observation environment then plans executes movement path. By developing model informed propagation theory, construct particle filter based estimator potential track using only signal strength observations. addition, technique rooted in uncertainty minimization constraints. Finally, validate proficiency proposed methods simulated experiments. Through analysis metrics localization performance show benefits our active techniques they apply demonstrate robustness method various environmental scenarios testing multitude realistic challenging experimental parameters (e.g., speed platform, targets, level signal-to-noise ratio (SNR)). results indicate that performs better than other state-of-the-art methods, significant improvements seen most difficult higher settings, is more often able localize less error position estimation. also computationally efficient scales well increasing

Path Planning and Robust Tracking for A Car-Like Robot

In this paper the problem of path planning and path following for a car-like robot is considered. Some new algorithms are proposed, which, by experiments, have been proven to be quite robust.

Path planning for robust image-based control

Vision feedback control loop techniques are efficient for a large class of applications but they come up against difficulties when the initial and desired robot positions are distant. Classical approaches are based on the regulation to zero of an error function computed from the current measurement and a constant desired one. By using such approach, it is not obvious to introduce any constraint...

Reliable Robust Path Planning

This paper is devoted to path planning when the safety of the system considered has to be guaranteed in the presence of bounded uncertainty affecting its model. A new path planner addresses this problem by combining Rapidly-exploring Random Trees (RRT) and a set representation of uncertain states. An idealized algorithm is presented first, before a description of one of its possible implementat...

Passive multitarget tracking with cameras

This paper considers large areas surveillance and 3D tracking with passive data, obtained here by geographically distributed cameras. The first step, at a camera level, is to detect moving objects in the video sequence and we propose a very simple, fast and efficient approach: a pixel level background subtraction technique to segment foreground pixels and a region level process where segmented ...

Robust Path Planning with Imperfect Maps

We describe an efficient method for path planning in environments for which prior maps are plagued with uncertainty. Our approach processes the map to determine key areas whose uncertainty is crucial to the planning task. It then incorporates the uncertainty associated with these areas using the recently developed PAO* algorithm to produce a fast, robust solution to the original planning task. ...
